W Hotel
W Fort Lauderdale pairs the energy of the W brand with the ease of the beach, from the ocean terrace to every guest room. Jessica Viciedo led the hotel's renovation for Meyer Davis's Miami office, guiding the design through construction and installation, with the first phase unveiled in 2017. DE-PHI later returned to renovate and install El Vez, Stephen Starr's restaurant at the hotel.

The design draws everything back to the water. A palette of whites, sand and deep ocean blues carries from the terrace to the guest rooms, while warm oak, bronze and woven textures give the public spaces a softer, more residential feel. Sculptural lighting gives each space its own moment after dark, from the glowing slatted ceiling of the lounge to the looping light installation above the lobby stair.
Every room was designed to bring the ocean inside, with the light, the lines and the terrace all leading the eye back to the water.
